Learning And Development Research Group
Led by Jenna E. Finch, Ph.D.
We study the development of children’s self-regulation skills, investigating their profound impact on learning, behavior, and lifelong well-being. Our research spans family dynamics, classroom environments, and sociocultural factors, providing actionable insights for nurturing children’s social-emotional and cognitive development.
We are based in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Department of Psychology. Dr. Finch is part of the Developmental Psychology program, a research fellow of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools, and a member of the Nebraska Academy for Early Childhood Research.
Our lab is located in the basement of Burnett Hall.
